Ingredients

  • 8 ounces uncooked pasta

  • 2 tablespoons butter

  • 2–3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste

  • 1 (14-ounce) can tomato sauce

  • ¾ cup heavy/whipping cream

  • ¼ teaspoon Italian seasoning

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • Freshly grated Parmesan cheese, for serving (optional)

Instructions

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. While the pasta is cooking, heat butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Once melted, add the minced garlic and stir constantly for about a minute until fragrant. Stir in the tomato paste and cook for about 30 seconds. Add the tomato sauce, heavy cream, and Italian seasoning, stirring until everything is well combined and smooth. Let the sauce simmer gently for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until slightly thickened. Add the drained pasta directly to the skillet and toss to coat it evenly in the creamy sauce.
