Egg & Tater Tot Breakfast Bowl with Sausage Gravy

Ingredients

  • 1 bag frozen tater tots

  • 1 pound ground breakfast sausage

  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour

  • 2 cups whole milk

  • 1 Egg

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Optional toppings: shredded cheese, chopped green onions


Instructions

Preheat oven and bake tater tots according to package instructions until golden and crispy. Brown sausage in a large skillet over medium heat. Sprinkle flour over cooked sausage and stir for 2-3 minutes. Slowly pour in milk, whisking continuously to create smooth sausage gravy. Simmer gravy until thickened, about 5-7 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. In a separate skillet, cook the egg. Arrange crispy tater tots in a bowl and pour hot sausage gravy over top. Top with egg and add any optional toppings.
